I'll be up there but not sure how much carving I will do. I promised a lady friend I'd take her on the hill and teach her how to snowboard. I'm the guy in orange skidding down slowly on the new Coiler :smashfrea

I don't think I can make it but if my other plans fall through, I'll be there.

Loc, take her to the top at the east resort. At the top is the Discovery chair,
and a uncrowded beginner run called Sunset. She can download on the Quad
to get back to the bottom. Sunset will be less crowded and groomed better than the beginner runs at the west resort. Sunset is also a good warmup run for carving, I usually do a few runs there first thing in the morning. The Snowflake lift at west runs slower though.
Watch the tail of that new Coiler in the lift line if you go to west, lots of kids like to get too close in the lift lines.

If you are only teaching someone don't you have another board to take out so the Coiler doesn't get scratched or worse??

Take a wider board with you and reduce the angles, definitely would make it easier to side slip, stop and other tasks that you must do when teaching someone.

Yea you're right on that. I usually teach on my Prior ATV and go as low as the bindings will let me. It's just I want to cut some cord with the new toy :1luvu: I guess the Coiler will have to wait for another June Mtn trip to come out and play lol

Loc, I will be up there after all, so see you there. Look for a red jacket and a silver board.

George - that new Kessler is looking sexy!

Arg! My brand new Coiler VSR took a core shot. I spent the day on a green with my friend and didn't really charge down Goldrush (blue run) until the end of the day. Coverage was good in the middle so I made sure that's where I stayed to be safe. Unfortunately there was a huge rock the size of my fist buried in the slush somewhere and I slarved right into it at full speed. The result:

This girl better be worth it

I dropped the Coiler off at Summit Ski & Cycle where Aaron and Neil recommended. They seem like great guys and I feel better knowing Ian is a carver too. It should be ready for pickup on Friday and I'll have it for my June Mtn cabin trip :eplus2:

Wow I hate when that happens! Sorry to hear about that. There were more rocks over on Sundance so I had to watch out. I didn't see any on goldrush but I guess they get exposed as the snow gets chewed up later in the day.
Have fun up at June, your video makes me wish I was there.
