View Full Version : Probably shouldn't have ridden yesterday...

Yeah, boot packing is hell on boots. I can't believe I rode on these yesterday. Totally unsafe and painful. Like the broken/missing buckles and cracked tongues? I used duct tape to keep snow out and my feet warm, and for traction on rocks.

These photos were taken before riding, mind you.

You can put them on the For Sale forum (pristine condition)!

lol
this is a application where softboots would be superior because a pair of $100 softboots getting shredded is no big deal. the traction is nice too.

I think Jim forgot to say he gets like 100 days a season and has had those boots for at least three seasons now.

I'm pretty sure you had those boots at SES 2006 when I saw you!

These boots have seen two seasons, probably about 150-200 days, I'm guessing. I was gone for two seasons where they saw no use, sadly.

Ahh that's rigth you moved from CO and came back since SES 2006, right?

200 days is pretty good for a pair of boots! That would be about 6+ seasons for me at 30 days/season.

Those boots look great. What's with all the duck tape?

The duct tape provided a little bit of traction on the crazy rocks I've been hiking on.
