I'm looking at cheap, cheap slalom boards to round out my quiver. What's the Burton FP 151 like? I'm about 195 pounds, and don't plan to race, but I would like to have a SL board to practice the techniques. I've been watching eBay. Or does anyone else have any ideas or SL boards to unload dirt cheap?

I can give you an Aggression 163 (that stainless steel board) that would be a much nicer tool than the Burton, 151 is too short anyway. $100

I'm no slalom specialist, but 151 sounds awfully small for someone your size. Most common for slalom is between mid 150s and low 160s, depending on the weight of the rider. For you, low 160s would still be a slalom board.

Usually it is quite easy to find something in the high 150s in the stores from past years at a good discount (here in the province of Quebec at least). As an example, my first alpine board in 1998 was a 2 year old FreeSurf Highlander 155 that I got for only 100$CAN brand new.

I'll keep my eyes open. In the meantime I'll enjoy the Madd 170 and replacement for my dead Coiler when they come.
