I woke up to a blanket of new snow on the divide... 36 degrees. No snow below 10,000 feet... but has me thinking about something other than golf for a change. I would guess Summit County will be starting to blow man-made any day

That's not fair... no snow here for at least 2 months and if you need to know I woke up to my baby boy crying in pain because his teeth are coming out.
Enjoy for the rest of us.

Wow congratulations! It's like we're collectively celebrating a new baby or something haha. Mammoth is still a few weeks away. Hopefully by this time next month SoCal will know if there might be an early opening or not. :1luvu:

...even here in Oklahoma, 100 degree days are over, finally a rainy weekend, and planning winter alpine trips just as my wakeboarding season moves from bare-skinned to wet-suited.

Was at Abasin yesterday, they got a nice dusting on top also. If I can figure out how to resize my pics I'll post some. Snow guns are in place ready to rock and if mother nature keeps up this heavy moisture flow to Colorado, we are looking at a big snow year. Can't wait to change from the Turner Burner to the Sims Burner.

Anyone want to join me for opening day at Loveland?

Bring on the snow. I just put the boat away, and have started cycling to kick start the quads for carving season.
As an aside if it weren't for these shoulder seasons where its too cold for watersports and not cold enough for snowsports I'd never have time for major projects at the cabin or house.

aactis,
If you get a chance this season, come join the LCI at Loveland. We usually have 3-12 riders out most weekends. Keep and eye on the ride board to see what the plan is.

Definitely! I only started hardbooting halfway through last season so I for sure am planning on becoming a lot more involved. I don't exactly know what the season will look like for me though, since tentatively I'm planning on studying abroad in Grenoble, FR for the spring if I can get the finances in line. :ices_ange I have another friend here at Mines with me that I'm sure would be interested as well.

I check that daily. The LCI will be Killin' it this season. I think that Mario already requested that Scrub be groomed more than twice this season.
Less than a month till the WROD opens up.

That's why I love having a lower base elevation. I get to watch all the snow up top, but it's still nice and warm in the valley.

No snow in Chicago because the mountains of Iowa squeezed all the moisture out of the air before it got to you! :)

Snow in Chicago is like Richard Simmons visiting the Playboy mansion.

That's funny:lol:
I have seen the sign on the interstate for a downhill ski area in Iowa. Could not believe it looking at 360* of flat horizon, then figured out the lift went down into a ravine.
Schwietzer was bathed in white yesterday, maybe the seldom realized dream of thanksgiving meat gates on the "white ribbon of deth" will be realized this year.:biggthump
