Seems like the Conundrums ride very well! I've only seen a Kris Holm 29er uni ridden in person, it seemed much less stable. Maybe all the weight of the Endo helps out. Have you ridden any other mountain unis?

I can bounce around a parking lot all day with a uni, but get me on some dirt and the dirt will be all over me!

You've gotten that far in six weeks? Amazing! At 62 I'm one of the world's oldest unicyclists. Haven't done much muni. My riding is restricted to road rides. I'll be doing five miles tomorrow night on this one - 28" Sun.

It sure can't hurt. I've seen video of Bode Miller training on a uni. Former Canadian ski racer Ken Read trained on a uni in the off season. If I'm riding on hills (especially controlling descents) my quads and calves get a real workout. That gives me a jumpstart on the snowboarding season.

Obviously balance comes in to play as well.

I never rode a 36" but have had it in the back of mind to try a Coker. Ironically, we sell unis in our shop (http://www.suburbansport.com/unicycles.html). A couple of kids were eyeing them the other day and I took a 24" Nimbus for a lap around the building to demonstrate. I think they figured if someone their grandfather's age could ride one, it can't be all that difficult!

I did five miles on Monday. It's easily the longest ride I've done this summer and I'm feeling it in my quads this morning. That just tells me that I should be doing more riding before winter returns. In summers past I've done 12 mile rides.

One guy watering his lawn shouted "what happened to your other wheel?" thinking cleverly that no one had ever asked that before.

I shouted back, "It's worse than it looks. It started out as a tricycle!"

good job on that 5 mile ride. i rode the other day for two hours and the next day my legs were so fatigued , i could barely walk up the stairs to my condo. a few friends and i are going over to Grand Targhee ski resort on sunday and ride down from the top. they put in a bunch of mtb trails, should be fun. cheers.:biggthump
