I have been on Suzukas for a couple of seasons now. My biggest complaint is that I hate the buckles. Now that boots are on sale at Bomber, I am having thoughts about upgrading my boots. I have read all the info on the Bomber store boot faq, and it sounds to me as though the 325 is the closest to my old Suzukas.

So has any body else made the transition from Suzukas to track 325, and how happy were you with the change?

This is my third full season working at carving. Currently run about 185 pounds without equipment. Should I maybe consider the 700t?

700s are the same shape, just with buckles. the 325s are the same mold as the lemans, just stiffer and with buckles. the 225s are basically lemans with buckles.

I understand that if I want the Aysm shell I have to go to the 700s. But according to the info here they are a stiffer shell. From the info I recall, the Le Mans were a step below the Suzukas in stiffness. So if the 325 are a stiffened up version of the Le Mans with buckles, it seems to me that they are the closest to the Suzukas. All though with the sb flex instead of the Ayam flex. How much of a difference does that make? Are we really just splitting hairs with all of these different models if I put BTS on them any way?

Rode and owned them both, they are comparable in stiffness, the Suzuka's are slightly more flexible in the forwardlean as I can remember, but they are close. The buckle system is a far more better system than those ratches. Just buy the Track 700 if you like a softish freecarve boot (just as the Suzuka's). Next years model will be stiffer due to stiffer plastic because they want this boot to be more racey. By the way don't buy the Lemans boot, you will be dissapointed by the performance since you are used to the Suzuka's.

Hey Terry,

I actually made that exact jump. I went from Suzukas to T325s. Since i wasn't all that much of an expert (nor am i one now), I couldn't tell the difference between the asym flex of the AF Suzuka shell vs. the newer T325 (SB) shell.

As far as stiffness and flex in that regard, it felt about the same to me. One thing to keep in mind though is the heel and toe boxes of the AF shell vs. the SB shell. The toe box in the Suzuka was definitely larger than the T325s. I didn't care too much about that, but what i did like was the liner that came with the T325s. They had a much much nicer heel cup that fit my anatomy better. It really kept it planted and in place.

The T325s are great for me at 145 lbs. They function well as an all-mountain boot. As far as i'm concerned, my gear will carve hard, and the limitation is not my gear by my skills and body... For me, I definitely don't need the T700s (although i've never been on them, so i wouldn't know for sure).

I'm kind of currious about the T225s though. They seem like they'd be a bit friendlier for sloppy technique, snow conditions, and overall longevity of carving from 8am-4pm almost non-stop.

Edit: I forgot to say that i'm happy with the change, flex, buckles, fit, everything. I just wonder how the T225s compare to the T325s, other than being told that they're not as stiff, i wonder what that actually feels like.

Oh boy, I'm 150lbs and leaning towards replacing my broken Le Mans with T225 and now you say the T325 works good for you? You're no help here :D Are you using BTS with them? I just rode all day at June with yellow springs and the Le Mans felt almost too wiggly so I'm afraid the 225 will be like that too.
