Howdy all...

I'm new to the Forum here. While I found this place with the idea of selling my Hard Boot Race Rig, I'm finding that this could be a great place to meet like minded Tahoe Snowboarders to ride with

I am selling the classic race rig but still plan to ride in soft boots. I'm gonna miss my Throttle... it served me well for over 10 years. Ok, so many of those years were lean on the days riding... I'd say I probably only had 20 or so days total on this rig. I bought the entire setup new from REI and the Rossi local distributor back in the 90's thru Ski Patrol connections. I remember paying top dollar way back when but I only expect to get a fair price now. I appreciate that this may be classic rig but it is in like new condition. I'd keep it but I just detest the hike from the car to the slopes and am looking forward to a more relaxed all around soft boot setup.

I can't tell you if this board "carves" in the manner you guys do it... I never really found the room to rip up an entire run of corduroy but I can tell you it does haul ass and edge to edge response for short radius turns is ridiculously fast. I'm kinda weird in that I ride like I ski... right down the fall line in as many turns as I can get in. The steeper the better! I'm sure you guys know more about these boards than I do. As I've been schooled recently, you'll note that the bindings are not setup for carving... you'll need to make your own adjustments.

As you can see in the pics, there are the typical scuffs and a few scratches, but amazingly there are no dings, gouges or scrapes in the base. Edges are perfect, just needs a tune.

Boots are Raichle 123's and the liner is a size 28 (I'm a size 10 in mens shoes). The shells can handle a 28-29 or 30 liner in case one wanted to get new liners. I have the original heels for the boots without the binding bolts somewhere in my garage.

I'm told these plate bindings are Nitro's but I don't much else. I have no toe drag, at least the way they are installed and because of my weird riding style. There is a minute amount of surface rust on a few mounting screws but it could be easily dissolved

I'm looking to sell the rig as a set, rather than sell the components separately. I'd prefer to keep this a local sale(Sacramento) and I can travel with a half hour or so to meet someone halfway who would want to purchase it. I might be able to meet up in Tahoe for a day of riding if that worked out too.

$350 bucks for whole setup... or best offer. Thanks for looking. Pray for Snow!

Wow. That's a classic. If someone buys the boots and ever needs spare parts, I have a beat-up old pair of matching boots that I bought in the 90's and rode a fair amount. Mine don't have those heels though.
