I noticed some posters struggling to resize an image for the forum. If you have Windows XP, I suggest the following for ease of use.

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/Downloads/powertoys/Xppowertoys.mspx

Scroll down and look for "Image Resizer". Download and install. Once installed, it enables you to right click on your photo, and choose a size to reduce it to. Works quickly and easily.

Here is the direct download link if you rather.

I post pics from a flickr account, and once you upload you can pic a variety of sizes to link to.

Also, you can upload via e-mail, which makes it very easy to get a pic to the web via my iphone.

I agree with Marty on the XP Power Tool Re-Sizer, built in, fast and easy to use on the fly without having to start photo software.

If you need a photo software (I have tried dozens over the years) that rocks yet is small in size, can be installed on a pen drive and has easy to use basic features (crop, rotate, re-size) try XnView (http://www.xnview.com/en/index.html)

Or check out the new "Online" Beta Fix Picture (http://www.fixpicture.org/flash/)
