Not to question the obvious cojones of the rider in your pic, but there seems to be at least some chance of a prayer that there's a shoulder somewhere out there that this hellman actually has a chance of making. In the link above, however, probably the scariest surf shot I've ever seen, the rider has already made what's makable, and there's "nowhere to run, nowhere to hide, Baby!" If this ride wins the $20,000 prize, I'm betting it goes to this poor SOB's heirs!

Trying to ride this mysto offshore reef is #3 on my list of things not to try before I die ...
