Have any of you tried the wheelman??? I went mountain biking today and saw a few guys riding it - I talked to them for a little bit and then they let me give it a ride - WHAT A BLAST!!! It is not quite like riding a carving board - But it is a ton of fun. You can check it out at www.wheelman.com.au - The guys I meet today said they are now set up to sell them here in the US...

What are the bindings like? Is there anything that holds your feet down, or do you just stand on/in it?
Here's the more expensive big brother:

So many toys, so little time...

The wheelman does not have bindings - you can ride it with any shoes(I used my mountain bike shoes with the toe clips -LOL)...Anyway your feet stay on fine..As for the A2Xtreme it is costs too much for me - I think it runs over $2500.00 US$, the wheelman is under $1000.00...Oh well - it was fun - I hope to run into the guys with the wheelman next time I am biking.

Cool.
Can you tilt the thing heelside? Does it have highbacks?

The Wheelman looks awfully cool. I'd like to see a non-motorized version for about...oh...$1,350 less. What do you think the chances are?
Having your feet through the wheels like that limits the steepness of your heelside turns pretty sharply though, doesn't it?

I think the guys that had the one I rode, can get them to shipped anywhere in the US for less than $1000.00(don't quote me on that - I can find out the exact amount) The other machine that looks like a skateboard that uses snowboard bindings is the one that is over $5000.00...
As for heel side turns - it works great the way they have it set up...you turn the front wheel, your foot stays in fine...I don't know how to discribe it...
