Ski boots + plate bindings

are regular ski boots compatible with non-intec plate bindings? I really want to know because I'm gonna get some plates and hardboots for my FP 160. Ive been riding it with softboots.

theyll most likely _work_ but the way a ski boot is made is quite different from a modern alpine boot for snowboarding
