I am getting too damn old to be busting my ass in the park and am interested in getting a longboard. Can I go to the local skateshop and pick one off the shelf or should I do a build? What should I look for? Trucks, wheels etc....... Keep in mind that all I really want to do is cruise the lakes and maybe do a downhill run now and again. Thanks!

I have a large 9-10 board Quiver but the board I reach for most is my Earthwing Superchargerset up very similar. (http://www.milehighskates.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=28&products_id=1438) This one will be a bit surfier (http://www.milehighskates.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=28&products_id=1420) and more familiar to park pool skating though also just as good
