From F9 Driver....
Tuning Shop
Ok, I have spent the money on great equipment, my recent board purchase came with the best tune I have ever encountered on a snowboard (thank you CMC "Curt"), now who can recommend a tuning shop in the Denver/Summit County area for future reference?

I'm having the same predicament.

Just wondering if there are any good tuning shops that can stone grind a board in the New England area--preferrably in NH. My uncle-in-law is an experienced tuner at a shop up by Waterville and he said that no one in the area has the proper equipment to effectively stone grind a snowboard. Any ideas?...I'm willing to travel to ME, VT, or MA if necessary.

Jeff,
Thanks for the link.
Did you try any of the recommended shops?

Correct me if I'm wrong, and they may not be doing it anymore as they've got their shop set to "bike shop" mode for the summer,
but the Blackwater Ski Shop in Andover NH can ((I hear)) do base grinds.

I'm a student there, I can ask the guy sometime if you want. Chances are good that it's no longer available since it's april, but I'm literally right across the street from them.

Mike at Precision Tuning Center in Framingham is the best. It is run out of Summit Ski and Board, formerly Ski Shop. He has a couple of grinds I would reccomend. The first is the PTC grind and the second is the World Cup. The world cup is their high end and the usually do it on skii's, but it will make your board scream. They also offer seasonal programs!

Best tunes in NH, a custom stone grind starts around $35. This is dirt cheap, especially after seeing what Mass folks are paying. These guys are right on Main Street in Lincoln, on left after Lahouts. It's tough to find guys that will do this work without paying an arm and a leg.

For those of you in the DC area, Ski Chalet has top quality equipment and techs.

If you are in the Mount Snow area, go see Tom at Alpine Trader. Tom is an Alpine Rider that has done a great job on my stuff.
