I want to get some new boots but am trying to figure the best size. My old Raichles (124 series)are m28.5 (written on the shell) with thermoflex liners. I am interested in the Heads and would guess a M29 (thats what I measure if I stand on a metric ruler or size chart). I know this sounds dumb but some boots vary in size from brand to brand. The boot fitters Im going to use are great so I can probably fudge a bit. Also has anybody had any experience or problems with the sole lenght on the Heads such as same size as your old boots but a longer sole causing you to change the binding angles?? I just dont want to commit until Im sure. Any "expert" advice is welcome.

I have a pair of 28 Heads, and a pair of 28 Raichles (with Thermofit). The Heads fit perfectly, while the Raichles are half a size too big.
So yeah, if you have 28.5 Raichles, the 29 Heads should be right.
The sole length of my Heads are a little longer than the Raichles. Enough to make adjusting the bindings necessary, but not enough to justify changing binding angles. I just moved the heel block of the bindings back a bit, and didn't bother to move the toe block.

I have 26.2 and 26.0 feet and found the 26.5 to be a perfect fit.
