Anyone going to be around next weekend. A bunch of folks from the TGR forums are coming to town. Some are camping on the "Scenic Loop" Rd. (Which IMO is neither scenic, nor a loop). I'm probably getting a condo with some friends. Probably do resort on Friday and Sunday and a BC hike/ski/ride on Saturday around Tioga Pass.

Anyone? Unless some of you guys show up, I'll be the only carver there.

Oh, and I've heard that Captain Powder will be making an appearance. Always entertaining and always a hit with the ladeez. Speaking of whom, since its not a carving gathering, there will be ladeez.

Anyone? We'll be doing a BC day on Saturday for sure. It should be a blast. Probably go up to Ellery Bowl or something near Tioga.

Anyone heard rumors they'll be closing on the 26 (Memorial Day) to preserve the snow for an early open next season?

They put the moguls away in the summer, they don't need to preserve anything.

I figured it was fishy. Plus, it was a heard it from a guy who heard from it a guy kinda situation.
