45 Year Old Virgin.......carver

Yesterday was my first time on a carving board. Live in Ottawa, (Canada). Skied all through my youth till I was 20. Skied about 10 times since and tried snowboarding (aka sliding) twice.

Went to a little rinky dink hill outside of Ottawa. Got my boots and bindings off of BOL (Thanks Eric and Greg). I don't think I've ever had so much fun in one afternoon in my life!! wipe out a hundred times, made it top to bottom (only takes about 45 seconds) without falling only twice. Had a great conversation with a 6 year old (who was also learning) about how much fun it was.

Why didn't I get into this YEARS ago?? Thanks to Loopback for getting me into this. Hope I can board till I'm 80.

I will NEVER ski again.

Hope I can board till I'm 80.BTW - there is a gentleman who has been as SES the last several years. His is a WWII veteran, 82 years young, and tears up the hill on an alpine board. He is amazing!
