Anybody going to be at Snowshoe the first week of April?

If your stay includes a weekend, I'd most likely be able to make it up.

Today's Snow Report says 18 days til season's end. That probably translates to March 30 or 31?

I had planned on April 1-3, but from the other posts that may not become a reality. I thought Snowshoe had a pretty large base still.

I suppose Seven Springs isn't going to be open in April either? Anybody know of anyplace either in WV, NC, Mich., or PA that will be open in April?

they have a very nice base, but people in the south think that there is no skiing in the mtns if they can wear shorts in their own backyard, so skier visits drop off and its not profitable for intrawe$t..... steamboat has a massive base and they're still gonna close when they originally planned, and thats in co.... the intrawest way

I've been to SnowShoe in April several times. They are actually known for their "Spring Break". I'm just surprised that this will not be one of those years.

What about Boyne or the "Nob"?

Looks like the only places that will be open during that time will be Boyne and Nub's Nob in Mich. At least in the states I previously mentioned.

Boyne Mountain will be open thru April and Boyne Highlands closes March 30.

Nubs will be open till the 6th of April.
If you decide to go with one of these options I would be interested in riding with you for a day or 2. I live about 1.5 hours away and haven't been to either resort yet this year.

I was just at the shoe last weekend... they had a lot of rain that week and the base took a big hit from what I gathered and saw first hand. Spring break was last weekend. It's coming to a close.... App and Sugar may make it to the 30th.... but its not going to be pretty

Spring Fling!
Stratton Vt. May be an option….. I have been there a few times this time of yr & it was pretty good.
Lift-line Lodge is acceptable & reasonable! Also there is a descent size Alpine community in that area!
If someone wants to plan a road trip---- I may chime in!!!!

Looking at extended forecast, looks good for grooming going into the weekend with below-freezing night temps and daytime highs not much above 40. (Good midday corn transition?) If forecast holds, looking at traveling Thursday and staying into Sunday if the snow/mixed prognostication pans out for Easter.

Haven't gotten up at all this winter and son is driving me nuts.

If there's anything to slide on, we'll probably go.

If you are still looking to ride in WV in April, Timberline will be open the first weekend. We should have most of the trails open still assuming no major rain events happen between now and then. Shouldn't be any crowds and Sunday is the Local's Cup race.
