NYC help

I'm looking to buy a new board, and I was wondering if anyone in the NYC area had a loaded vanguard I could take for a quick ride to see whether or not I liked it. I'm planning on getting a new board for this summer and would like to compare and contrast.

Come out to an Earthwing Prospect Park Rip in BK (http://www.silverfishlongboarding.com/forum/new-york-new-jersey/23975-nyc-earthwing-rip-updates.html#post340335) on almost any Friday night and you'll have a chance to meet lots of longboarders. Folks there a pretty relaxed and I'm sure you'll be able to take some test drives. If I'm around you can def try my vanny or dervish.

I wish I had Friday nights off. I usually have off Mondays and Tuesdays, and I work at night every other week. I'd love to try a dervish as well, I'm leaning more towards it than the vanguard after some research.

The lower center of gravity makes the dervish slide easyer. The vangaurd is great but i prefer the lowered ride of the dervish.

I don't make it to that Fri night thing as often as I'd like to. I do usually ride laps in the park on my own on Sat & Sun when the weather's good. Shoot me a PM if you want to meet sometime - - I'll bring an extra board.
