I was watching Rob Crobar's movie from this link http://www.extremecarving.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=753

I found at the extremecarving.com forum and was wondering if anyone knows where it was filmed? It looks very much like my home resort of Apex in BC, is he a local? If he is, I would like to hook up and ride with him sometime.

Hi Fleaman

Hey.... yes that small clip was filmed at Apex, this was my first visit there; great hill! I wish I was a local, I live way, way, way north of you. Just before my buddy pressed record, I think I saw you layout a nice toeside carve then scream by (big guy, yellow jacket-I read this on another post somewhere) onto another run. I let out a wimpy ‘hey’, but I was too slow on the uptake to catch your attention. I am very much of the ‘if you are in hard boots you are instant blood brothers’ mind set:) I thought I would run into you somewhere on the hill, but it didn’t happen. I would love to hook up and ride sometime next season.

Cheers
Rob

Couple of my friends live in Kelowna, so I usually make a trip down once a year. I'll contact you, on the forum, if I make it down South next season.

It is a nice resort. It doesnt get the crowds that Big White and Silver Star get, so usually there are no lift lines (especially during the week). The terrain is mostly geared for advanced people. Steep and lots of moguls and trees. There are however a few runs that are worthy of ripping it up.

Fleaman:

Rob's the guy your buddy saw that day in February. There were three of us. I was the one skidding out my heelsides.

We'll let you know next time we make the pilgrimage to Kelowna. What a great mountain you have.

You could at least join us for a beer. Rob's a great rider but his libation of choice is iced tea. I had to drink alone.
