what did the shipping cost?
Sorry, but I am not sure how much shipping total was since this package already includes a few other boards for the SES… and Franks personal Berserker Titanal as well…

The new base material used by Virus is called “P-Tex Ultimate”. It contains a high(er) amount of carbon,
is harder and faster versus other base materials... So far used mainly for GS skies.
Virus is the first board manufacture using the P-Tex Ultimate :biggthump

You're going to need to learn to balance on one foot getting off the lift, cuz it would be a sin to step on that board.

Ray, you have way too much time on your hands!! MOst guys who post pictures of their new boards just lean em on a wall and snap a photo. Not Ray, he has his own little snowboard studio there. Proper colored backdrop with the appropriate wrinkles, impeccable lighting to highlight the nice mirror finish on the Virus.
Just giving you a good natured ribbin'. It is a beautiful board though. Wish I could justify spending the $$$ for a Virus. The only one I can get is through the CDC!!
CDC= Center for Disease Control

Actually, I was struggling to get the pictures posted all at once. Lots of meetings and crazy market right now… but since my job includes working on the computer most of the day I was able to squeeze em out piece by piece today…
In regards to my “own little snowboard studio”, funny, I grabbed a blanket, hung it over a door and took the pictures with my little Sony (DSC-T100) during regular daylight… no artificial light involved. But hey, a good looking board does show nice, also without much work ;)
Looking forward seeing you in Aspen! I hope you come.

You guys, I actually got to see this board in person today, and even touch it (even though Ray made me put on a pair of completely clean gloves).
It is absolutely more beautiful that even the pictures can show.
And I got to see her touch snow for the first time, appropriately on Aspen Mountain. Yes, she and Ray both loved it. That board, with Ray on it, just rips!
I think now we all have to pitch in to buy Ray a complete matching chrome outfit! :biggthump

Not that I'll be buying a Virus for a long, long time- but what's up with that teflon base they have? Anyone tried it? Is it any good? If so, why hasn't it been licensed out to other board-makers?

So when will you tell us how it rides?
And can one chose how he wants a Custom edition board to be made, like yours has Titanal with a Zylon, Carbon, Kevlar construction.
Can I have a board with Titanal, Vectran, Carbon and Kevlar construction made?
What is a price range of Custom edition boards?
And can it look like the attached one? Or is it the same as yours, just looks different because of the light?
Thanks

Oh yea, it really rides great. I am very happy with the result. I am not going into further details because it’s all a question of perspective and personal skills. For me it rocks, but I also still have a lot to learn…
Yes, you can choose it all. It’s always best to contact Virus (Frank) directly to ask detailed questions in regards to construction and price.

Ray, your custom Virus with that even more custom flames on it looks awesome. Hope it rides as it looks.
I have three full days on my X2 (from 8:00 till 17:00 yes it's not much but for a lowlander like I am, I am happy with every hour on it) and was never exhausted. I won't ride without metal again. Or there must be some other material that is so comfortable to ride as with a metal board.

Usually I really don’t care about looks, that’s why almost all my boards are just simple flat black. In this case, the material is what it is and I got a little creative
Let me assure you, it rides better than it looks.
Cheers!
