Wondering if anyone here has the POC skull x, or pretty much any other helmet, and can compare to either a Pro-Tec skate or specialized M1 bike helmet (M1 fits me great, Protec required some modifications)
The memory foam on the skull x sounds comfy.. any input?

I have about 6 days in my new POC. It is light, quiet, good peripheral vision and fits well. As far as what it compares to... I could only compare it to my Giro Ravine or Giro Mad Max. The sizes run true. Use a good soft tape measure but do not pull it super tight around the thickest part of your head.
I really like the helmet and would recommend one if it fits well. Price is a little steep but "if you have a $10 head wear a $10 helmet."

I can get past the price, aforementioned specialized helmet was comprable... in that case, I paid the extra because it in particular fit my head, and it is extremely well ventilated.
Hows the memory foam seem to do for comfort, and does the helmet become too hot?

Are the POC helmets more for round melons or oval melons?
Either way none of them have enough ventilation for my tastes yet.

I would guess I have an oval head...not severely oval but generally oval.
The POC fits me very well.
