This is my first season carving and I have been borrowing a buddies old board. So I'm looking to get my first new board at the end of this season. I came across a new 168 Burton Speed for $300 (it will probably drop to $280 at the end of the season). Does anyone know anything about this board and is that a good price?

Until I saw this board I was under the assumption that Burton stopped making Alpine boards and gear. That brings up my next question. Will it be a problem getting bindings to fit this board? Thanks.

That's a pretty high price. If you go to www.raceboarders.com and click on the "Ebay" button at the top you should see most of what's currently on EBay for carving stuff. There's some outfit selling Speeds for way less than $300.
