Heh, we had a sick, sick pow day of me getting untracked run after untracked run. Sadly, I also cracked both tongues on my boots, so I'm going to have to take it easy until I get some new ones in.
Question: Do you UPZ owners out there break many tongues? I go through about 1 set a season, not to mention the buckles and ratchets.

Check with Bola at All Boards Sports in Boulder as he carries the UPZ boot and might have some spare parts. 303-415-1600.

Gleb, no you don't.
Years ago, Burton had a clear yellow shell for their Fire's. I probably cracked over 10 shells that year. It gets old fast trust me.

First you need snow. :p

snow would be a nice touch to these mtns. After 10 shells in a season, yeah I think that would get old. Thats just obnoxious. Did you ever consider switching boots maybe after the first 3? I know you probably got them for free but still.
my boots just stopped breaking my shins, now its time to learn how to ride them hard enough to make the buckles break:eplus2:

Yeah, it's the second pair in 3 seasons. The first pair had messed up cant issues, which UPZ has fixed since.
I love the boots, what can I say. And I probably go through a set of tongues and a bunch of buckles each year. I just ride them in conditions where most people dont (or so it seems), namely bumps, cliffs and serious pow. So they get put through a lot. Not a big deal, I just feel like I'm the only one breaking them on a regular basis. I drilled holes to stop the cracks and now I'm just waiting for new tongues.
I was curious if anyone else breaks anything on the boot at all.

oh figures. i dont go that hardcore as you do. i switch to skiing (yep with 'em UPZ boots) as well as soft boots when i go out backcountry, moguls, cliffs, park, etc. and hey could you PM me your schedule so I know when to stop by your work place ?

the tongue on my UPS boots started cracking but i drilled a hole in front of the crack to relieve the stress.
broke 3-4 buckles. the last straw was my heel cracked right where the rear bail fits. i was just about to go down a run when my rear boot came out. that was when i discovered the crack.
