View Full Version : TD2 heresy

So I sold one pair of the orginal TDs, picked up a new pair of TD2s, and I can't tell any difference between the 2 bindings.

Note: I'm not complaining, because I love my Bombers, both the old and the new, but I am curious.

Is this because I ride only groomers on my carve boards, so don't really run into absorption issues? Is this because I'm in Colorado, where ice doesn't exist, and the riding tends to be smooth?

Has anyone else felt the same way?

I just replaced a pair of TD step-ins with TD2 step-ins. I wouldn't say that they make the older model obsolete, but the new features are nice to have.

Besides what Bob mentioned, I REALLY like the fact that I can see if the heel pin is in before I ride, thanks to the little notch machined in the heel receiver. But the old binding is still a great binding and worth keeping.

thanks for the reply. i'm running yellow, as soft as you can get. i'm also 130 pounds, but i don't consider that an issue.

i'm not disappointed, but i am surprised i can't feel a difference . . .

as a sidenote, i was raised in bahstin (lowell) and spent my formative years ski racing at pat's peak in henniker
