Nope, it doesn't look good at all.

Even when the lows are forecasted in the mid-twenties, it's really only that cold for maybe an hour. We need to see lows in the teens!

....the deals at The House on F2 gear? Would love to get the news out on Trent's email list. Email me and I will give details.

Taking Patrick, Hunter and Arthur to Copper again this weekend. You guys gotta come along one time.

What up boys? Slowly anticipating snow here in Bloomington. What's this about F2 gear? What's for sale? Anyone got a Donek FC 185 they want to unload before the snow hits, or do I gotta fork over the 6hundo for a new one? My Factory Prime needs to be put down, ASAP! Also, with this make over buck got, is it going to open up any good groomers to haul on, or no?

The improvements at Buck will make the run that used to be called "sleepy hollow" much more accessible. It's not as steep at the top as it used to be, but it should make for a nice carving run.

Expanding that area should also take some pressure of the main quad chair as well, as the new quad services all that area at the South and allows access to the Northern runs via a new trail that wraps around the back.

Given the area that they have to work with, these are some pretty amazing improvements.

i could never remember the name of that run. did they rename it?

BobD

the quad will be wasted over there. The kiddies will only ride up, one or two at a time, even when the lines are long.

They renamed several runs. Don't ask me why....I don't know.

I hope you're wrong Bob. At least with this quad, it actually looks like 4 people can ride up together. Most people don't realize that the other "quad" is rated for 4 people per chair.

The forecast is looking fairly promising. I'd bet that they'll be open this weekend.

powder ridge?!? when was the last time we had powder?

red tail ridge? there better be tail on that run. :biggthump

olympic dreams?!? :barf:

its good that they opened up the north end a little bit. maybe if they put some landfill over on that end. doubtful that the people living behind there would allow it.

shouldn't "ballroom rope tow" be "olympic dreams rope tow"? visitors might get confused at our large resort. :p

Tomorrows open runs:

Ballroom (Olympic Dreams)
Crossroads
Milk Run
Teacher's Pet
School Yard (Bunny Hill)

There will be a few boxes and/or rails placed at the bottom of Crossroads or Milk Run, but shouldn't be too big of a hazard.

With the changes this year, Crossroads will feel a tid bit wider since the double chair is gone.

i love it.

this evening (friday) 35E started to jam up near county road 11. everyone was slowing down in front of buck to rubberneck. i know because i had to pick up my season pass.

the snow looks good. debating which board to use.

re: boxes at bottom of the run. problem is the jibbers will literally sit in the middle of the run.

can they move it someplace else? like the tubing run?

BobD

Blinded by blown snow and baby jibbers sitting all across the run above thier toys.

I went to Hyland tonight from 8 30 -10 and was surprised at how good the snow actually was, given the conditions. It was hardpacked and I don't think I hit any ice spots. And it was late enough so that there were not that many kids out, so I had enough room to carve. It was a nice way to get back into the season. Can't wait for the real stuff...

anyone find out who that photographer was at buck on sunday? i saw him taking lots of pictures of the alpine riders. the pictures couldn't have been very good because the light was really flat.

i think they should rename olympic dreams (formerly known as ballroom) to donner's pass. i saw a lot of coffins sitting on a table over by the rope tow shack.

sunday was good snow. grooming could've been better on milkrun.

its going to suck going to work. i will be hurting.

kirtap: Was at Hyland for Sat Morning practice - yeah, surprisingly
consistant snow.. but was PACKED with people!

Coffins?? Wha.. ?
Don't know who the photographer was, but suspect that we'll
see my toe-side-superman-slide either on the Buck website
or featured on KARE 11 in days to come.

Don't know if he's on bomber much at all.
I plan to be out coaching on Wed nights, and some Thurs or Saturday mornings.

....I thought that was you riding alone on Central. Can't miss someone riding plates at Hyland. Yup.....Troy was coaching on Monday. Patrick missed Wed and Thurs, but is going with everyone to Wild for gate training on Saturday (still not enough snow to set at Hyland). They are at Wild training from 2 - 5. I will be there to rip Patrick off the hill at about 4:15.....Christmas party.

Are you going to race at Welch next weekend? If not, come watch. Sunday is always the best day....Dan's Dive is the hill....ending at the bar. Can actually wait inside right up until the start. Always fun.

Come sit in with the team one night....I'm sure Troy or
Karl would not mind. Maybe they could talk you into the "masters program" that's starting soon on Wednesday evenings (when there is no freestyle).

I would come on Sunday but I just don’t have time. I work almost 30 hours a week to help pay for school. With that, I just don’t have the time to commit to that stuff. That’s the main reason for not doing Gteam, otherwise, I probably would have. Thanks for the offer though, maybe I'll get some weekend off and head up for a race.
