T d' F fans,
Bob Roll has his own website-it's
http://www.bobroll.com

He explains his use of the phrase-classic. I'll never go back to the "proper" way either.....

PS. My other and more busy job starts 8/1....my relatively banal posting will stop then! :biggthump

couldn't find it and my eyes are just to dry now to keep reading. So what'd ya think about our man Floyd. Holy poo poo! That was a hell of a stage.

This tour has been truly exciting....
I was in agony watching Floyd crack and then, at work at my other job, got online and read that Floyd had kicked ass yesterday. Unfortunately, the TV stays tuned to either Faux News or the Masters in the docs lounge, so I couldn't watch any feed until I got home last night.
I'm at job #1 today and there's no OLN on their TV selections, but it's a flat stage and hopefully the Phonak team will be better at holding the peloton together...
That's the other impressive thing...Floyd's practically doing this solo....

His solo effort yesterday will be talked about for years. Amazingly his hip is in such bad shape that he can only mount his bike from one side. He's an incredible athlete.

Bob's reason....He was a member of the first American team to race in the tour-the Seven-Eleven team. He spoke fluent French, but, the wait staff at whichever restaurant they happened to be at eating were so reliably rude, condescending and mocking of their pronounciation, that he vowed to never bother to pronounce the name of the race correctly, in fact, went out of his way to mispronounce it...It's even funnier given the success the yanks have had....
He also hates flying so much and likes to start drinking immediately upon arrival to a new town. His record is 24 bloody mary's on an airport tarmac...
Sounds like my kind of guy...

Is a true nut. Met the guy a few times and what you see on TV is what you get in person.

Funny, profane and out and out a fan of cycling. If he could ditch the tool Trautwig the coverage would be even better.

Now do not forget to give major props to Phil Ligget - he of the obvious drinking problem and always with a crazy turn of a phrase. "Dancing on the pedals immodestly". What normal person would come up with that without a few drinks in them.

You think we could get either on a board?
Apres would be a real trip....
