Who has tried or uses the Head bindings?

The full name eludes me at the moment but I think they only make one style anyway.

What`s your opinions on them? Good, Bad, Keep em, throw `em out?

I raced with a Stealth DNA model for 2 years prior to buy a Bomber TD2, both regular ( non step-in ).

The plate portion is pretty stiff, since some models are using carbon in their construction. The overall stifness can't be compared to my TD2. Because of the link between the bail and the plate + the normal bail diameter, the binding has a lot of flexibility vs a TD2. It all depend what kind of link you want between you and the snow. Something need to flex somewhere, your boot, your binding or your board. Personal choice...not my binding since I'm throwing away energy.

Their weak point is the front bail, when your boot is not in, the front bail fold back to touch the plate, in that position, one side of the bail could easily get out of their hole. After many :angryfire :angryfire , I put a very small screw to prevent the bail to fold down on the plate. This has solved the problem.

I had Burton race plate in the past also, the Head could easily compared with, I think the Head could be lighter than the Burton. Overall, I had 2 years with a good product, and if Bomber or Catek were not there, I would still race with my Head bindings. I kept them and used them on my "freeride day", specially during spring mushy snow.
