I'd like to try my hand at kiteboarding and was wondering if anyone from the Bay Area (San Fran Bay) has any experience or recommendations on good shops/instructors. I'm coming from the valley so I can take the northern or southern route and get to whichever part of the bay is necessary.
I'm taking this like snowboarding and renting/lessons before deciding I wanna go all in. I have thought about a trainer kite as they are cheap and it might help to be able to understand windows, depower, dragging, and other terms that I've not a clue about. I'd also be interested in other forums that have been helpful.
So I'm open to making a few minor purchases if it will decrease the learning curve.
