boot buckles

I am presently riding Raichle 324's. I find that the main buckle on my front foot gets bent from dragging in the snow on healside turns. (By main buckle, I mean the one that cinches down my instep - the second buckle up.) I had the same problem with my last boots - Raichle 124's. I ended up replacing the buckle on the 124's; after the buckle finally broke.

Is anyone else finding this to be a problem, and do other boots (like Head and Blax) have this same problem?
