We could dedicate the next 10 pages to suspension theory, but we don't want you to slip into a coma before you get to ride your TD2.

What does the E-RING do? How does it work? Why is it way cooler?

The E-RING is constructed of specially formulated urethane designed to dampen high frequency vibrations. This works in two ways:

1) The rider experiences a smoother ride because less of the chatter from imperfect snow conditions makes its way to through the boot and into the body.

2) The board has better edge hold because it's allowed to perform as designed by following the contours of the slope without the chattering associated with overly rigid systems.

With the TD2, we achieved a perfect balance of precise control because the CENTER DISK is rigidly mounted to the board, while the CANT DISK and upper assembly are allowed to float on the E-RING.

We put the ELASTOMER RING between you and the board so nothing else can come between you and a great day of carving.

Oh yeah, the E-RING is also very stable in just about all temperatures. So, no changes in how your TD2 performs in spring slush or sub-zero boilerplate. And they come in three flavors: soft (yellow), medium (purple), hard (red) allowing you to fine tune your ride.
